STUDENTS WRITING AND RECORDING MUSIC

Course Outline

SWARM: Students Writing And Recording Music is a unique musical opportunity offered to a select few Pinewood students who have demonstrated strong creative musical ability. Each semester's class produces a CD and a concert of their music. The course teaches students to analyze music, compose their own music, produce music in a professional quality recording studio, produce and manufacture a CD of their music, produce a concert of their music, and sell their recordings to a target fan base. In short, by the end of the course, each enrolled student is an independent recording artist who has actually sold copies of his/her music. Furthermore, SWARM graduates possess the experience and skills to continue to write, record and sell music in the future.
